The XT 454 seems to work amazing in every situation and is the longest lasting gummy tire I have ridden. It even outlasted hybrid gummy tires that have harder compound and not as good of grip. The ultra soft gummy knob grips boulders super well but because they are wider dont fold over in the loose climbs and shaley rocks. Mitas' special rubber compound somehow does not tear off and chunk like other soft tires I've ridden. This is currently my favorite rear tire due to the extreme traction and longevity.
